Amy Snowden

Hi. My name is Amy Snowden and I grew up in a very small town where there was so little people everyone slept with everyone, My friend and I actually sat down on her porch one day and connected all the teenagers to each other.  Walmart and the local Burger Inn were the big outings in my town. I remember every time my mom would go to WalMart people would call my house and tell my dad" ur wife's at walmart". Its like they just had to gossip, but I never understood what the big deal was that she was buying soap and toilet paper for our house.. I mean how pissed could my dad be about that? Our town was so small and safe , you never had to lock your doors.  [...more]

Appearances

Amy has performed with many celebrity comics including Anthony Clark who called her "a comedy genius.

" She now resides in Los Angeles and plays the "World Famous Comedy Club," and has recently been named a paid regular at "The Hollywood Improv."

Her act includes comedic songs, which have become quite popular in the clubs as well as YouTube; her most recent hit is called "Toe Hoe" and is based on a true story.  Amy's voice is unique and different with southern twist.

She has a very casual persona and hopes to take her career on to television and film.

Personality

Growing up  I could tell my personality was a bit off the wall. The kids in school use to say "you're so different , your so different."  I use to think to myself well at least I’m not gay. LOL. Now, I can't even say that because I’ve had relationships with both sexes. My new joke is, if you purchase me a drink, I’m down for you. It's like you bye for me and I’m bi for you!  I’m open-minded is how I like to call it. I never knew why people were laughing . My friend told me in 5th grade ” you are the funniest person I ever met.”   I was like why? She said I dont know you just are. I would always get called weird, differant, quirky and it use to hurt my feelings.  Now i realize being differant well aint all that bad :) [...more]

Stand-up Comic

Amy Snowden grew up in a small town in Oakdale, Louisiana; a very awkard, quirky, shy kid, she started as a songwriter writing funny original music, before moving her way into stand-up comedy.

After making her way to Los Angeles, she appeared on FXs "The Man Show," winning a comedy contest.  Other television credits include: "Americas Got Talent," "Comedy Time," and she has recently been named a top 5 finalist on the Jon Lovitz "Find Me a Comic" contest.

Songwriter

I remember making up a song called The LOOP the LOOP the LOOP is where u get that SCOOP." I think that was my first rhyme I wrote. I entered a poetry contest in 10th grade and it was a total serious love poem. I was a romantic at heart and as any close to me knows, I am a serial dater at this point ,. Nothing ever worked out for me men nor women. So, anyways I won first prize and thats how I really knew I was a writer. A friend of mine approached me and told me he wanted to write a rap song with me. I did and I can't tell you the name of it cause its too dirty. [...more]
